HELP CENTER / FAQ
From connecting your WordPress site to using the visitor AI Chat, here are clear answers about what AI Web Command can do, how access works, and what you need to get started.
Practical answers about connecting an AI assistant, supported WordPress work, permissions, and visitor AI Chat.
What the plugin does and how to connect your site.
AI Web Command connects a WordPress site to an AI assistant through the plugin and an MCP server. You can ask about supported site information and request changes in chat. Visitor AI Chat is a separate plugin feature for your website visitors.
Buy a plan and sign in to the dashboard with your store account—there is no separate SaaS password. Download the plugin ZIP, install it in WordPress, then open AI Web Command → Connection and choose Connect your plugin. Finish pairing and permission approval in the dashboard.
Any AI client that supports remote MCP and an authentication method compatible with our connection can connect. We have tested Claude, Codex, ChatGPT web, and Grok. OAuth is recommended when available; clients that accept an Authorization header can use a manual key. Other compatible clients may work but are not individually tested, and connector availability can depend on the AI provider plan.
It can read supported site information and create or edit pages, posts, and WooCommerce products; prepare drafts or publish when you request it; and handle supported SEO fields through Yoast or Rank Math. It can also work with media, menus, categories, comments, settings, updates, and managed snippets. Targeted Elementor and Gutenberg work—and some WPBakery edits—are supported. Exact actions depend on your permissions and installed tools.
What happens when the assistant works on your site.
Yes. With WooCommerce and the required permissions, it can inspect products, variations, stock, orders, and sales summaries, and perform supported catalog or order tasks. Reports have query limits, so they should not be treated as complete accounting. The agent does not expose payment-card details.
For supported changes, the assistant can prepare a preview or dry-run and ask for your approval in chat before applying it. You can request a draft or publication when creating content. Safeguards vary by operation, and the plugin verifies supported saved changes.
Some compatible operations create checkpoints that let you restore a previous state. Coverage depends on the operation, so checkpoints are not a full hosting backup. Keep a separate backup before major site or plugin changes.
AI Web Command exposes only supported WordPress operations allowed by the permissions you approve for the connection. It does not provide shell, SSH, SQL, or arbitrary server-file access. You can revoke the connection in AI Connections. For supported changes, review the proposed action and approve it in chat; actions are logged, and some operations include a restorable checkpoint.
The optional chat, its AI costs, and site limits.
It adds a public chat widget that answers visitor questions from selected website content. It is separate from the site-management assistant and cannot edit WordPress. If a visitor wants a person to follow up, the chat can ask for one contact method so your team can respond.
Yes. You supply your own API key from OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google Gemini. The key is stored encrypted in WordPress, and provider usage is billed separately from your AI Web Command subscription. Site management through MCP does not require a separate provider API key.
No. The visitor chat uses a local snapshot of the pages, posts, products, and other content you select. Rescan after relevant content changes so answers can use the updated information. Saving conversations is optional, and the provider key is stored encrypted in WordPress.
